Family Activity Breaks

Thursday 14th March 2019

What is FAB?

FAB is a charity run by military volunteers to provide a relaxed and supportive environment to ensure that families have the time and opportunity to enjoy themselves.  The aim of FAB is to provide families with a fun and adventurous holiday and the opportunity to meet other families that have experienced the loss of a “Serving” loved one.

Who can attend a FAB holiday?

FAB supports families that have children under the age 19 years old who have lost a Serving loved one, regardless of the circumstances of the loss; typical family applications include children that have lost a parent, sibling or uncle or aunty.  Please contact us if you are unsure if you and your family are eligible.  We welcome extended family members when we have the accommodation available to do so.

Camps

We have three camp dates for FAB 19:

FAB Camp 1: Caythorpe Court – 27 July – 3 August
FAB Camp 2: Barton Hall – 3 August – 10 August
FAB Camp 3: Osmington Bay – 3 August – 10 August

Each holiday is a week-long and is based at a PGL location.  Throughout the camps there will be FAB volunteers who will help to ensure that families can make the most out of their breaks.

Activity Programme

At each of our camps we organise an activity programme which is run by qualified and professional activity providers.  There is also one day off mid-week – trust us – you need it!

Cost

The cost of the camp is £75 per family, and includes all food, accommodation and organised activities during the week.  Assistance can be given with travel or other reasonable costs associated with attending the camp.

This is our tenth year of running the camps and we have received some incredible feedback from our families.
