In 2019, the Annington Challenge once again gave Service youngsters the opportunity to take part in an Outward Bound Trust adventure course at one of the Trust’s centres in England, Scotland and Wales.

During the summer we provided funding for 65 youngsters aged 11-19 from Army, Navy and RAF families to join one of three courses that make up the Annington Challenge – and in doing so provided an experience that past participants have described as life-changing.

All youngsters had been nominated by their teachers and those chosen were felt to be most likely to benefit from an experience aimed at improving self-confidence, self-esteem and resilience.

** Apply now for summer 2020 – Closing Date 6th March 2020** To be eligible applicants must be a UK passport holder, be aged between 11-19 at the time of participation and have a family member serving with the Army, Navy or RAF. They need the support of their school and college who will be contacted to discuss the application.

*The Annington Challenge was originally an initiative developed by the Annington Trust. In 2018 Annington took over responsibility for the project and in doing so increased the level of support to £50,000 per annum.
