Further to the launch of the Covenant Duty on the 22 November 2022, the MOD have published a news brief aimed at the Armed Forces community to help you understand how the new Duty can affect you. It explains what the duty is, who it will help and how it works, it also sign posts where to find more information.
The Armed Forces Covenant Duty
The Duty is supported by Statutory Guidance to help specific bodies in Healthcare, Housing (Local Authority) and Education understand what is required of them under the new Covenant Duty.
Our Armed Forces Community will benefit from this statutory guidance as it will raise awareness as well as help schools and academies dealing with schools admissions criteria and the NHS with prioritising healthcare waiting lists.
