Tuesday 5th January 2021

New regulations came into effect on January 1st blocking UK residents’ access to Amazon Prime Video, and other online content subscriptions, from overseas.

The cross-border portability regulation that was revoked from Friday 1 January 2021 will affect subscribers who have relocated overseas. It is recommended any users living overseas change their home location in their Amazon Prime Video settings for full access to the Prime Video Catalogue. The same advice should be followed for Netflix and other online content subscribers.

More information on this can be found on the UK government website.
