The University of Wolverhampton runs the Unsung Hero course and offers a free 10 month business start-up programme for military partners of.
Each course includes a Four Day Business Start-Up Course. The course will be delivered by an experienced business consultant at the Wolverhampton Business Solutions Centre. The course has been split down into 2 x two day courses over two months and will give you the knowledge required to start a business. A Summary of areas covered:
- Business Planning
- Market Research
- Marketing
- Finance
- Sale and Networking Skills
This consists of five individual and sessions with a business adviser. The mentoring sessions have been designed to support you through the process of starting and maintaining a business.
The individual mentoring sessions with a business adviser are one hour per month and can be delivered over the telephone, via Skype or face-to-face at the Wolverhampton Business Solutions Centre.

Although it is free to attend the programme, participants will be responsible for funding their own travel and subsistence to attend the training and mentoring sessions.
