Career Pursuit magazine 2023

Wednesday 1st November 2023

Career Pursuit is proud to announce the release of the 2023 edition of its magazine, set to provide invaluable support and resources to military veterans, spouses and partners as they navigate their professional journeys.

The magazine’s latest issue comes on the heels of an exceptional year, with a whole host of accolades including:

  • Winning essential funding from the Armed Forces Covenant Trust
  • Achieving the prestigious Silver Defence ERS (Employer Recognition Scheme) award
  • Being a named finalist in the esteemed Soldiering on Awards
  • Launching the Career Pursuit digital platform

What is Career Pursuit?

The Career Pursuit CIC has long been a source of inspiration and guidance for members of the military community. It offers expert advice, success stories, and insights into entrepreneurship and personal growth. With the consistent support of its partners and sponsors, it continues to empower and uplift the community it so keenly seeks to serve.

The 2020 government-commissioned report, titled ‘Living in our Shoes’, highlighted the distinct lack of a single point of access for Armed Forces families trying to navigate the unique challenges that military life brings. Career Pursuit sought to meet that requirement and, through extensive collaboration with the Ministry of Defence’s Employment Steering Group, created its digital platform. The website provides an online space where multiple resources, including employment and business support, training resources, and workshops, can all be accessed without duplication.

Career Pursuit is continuing to make huge strides towards its mission of enhancing the lives of members of the military community. The organisation’s commitment to excellence was duly recognised when it received the Silver Defence ERS award, a prestigious award that recognises commitment to defence and the wider military community. Combined with being named a finalist in the Soldiering on Awards, Career Pursuit is having a demonstrably positive impact on the people it seeks to help.

Luke Smith, client director of Pinnacle said:

“With many of our own team being connected to the military – either as partners, spouses, veterans or reservists – we’re determined to put Armed Forces families first. By supporting Career Pursuit, we’re confident we’re doing just that: helping provide a powerful resource that will assist military spouses and partners for years to come.”

Helen Massy, founder, CEO and editor-in-chief, added:

“2023 has been an exciting chapter in Career Pursuit’s journey. We’re proud to have recently unveiled our innovative new career support platform and we’re thrilled to help military spouses and partners through their career change via the latest edition of the magazine.”

The 2023 edition of the magazine was released on 1st November, and is available in digital form, at Military Coworking Hubs, tri-service information offices, via the Families Federations and Forces Employment Charity or can be sent directly by post.
