Outside of a KS2 classroom covered area being installed at the new primary school in Cyprus

If you are considering volunteering for a posting to Ayios Nikolaos or Dhekelia, Cyprus as a family, you may be interested to know that there are going to be changes to the MOD school provision in the area.

Building work has already started to create a new primary school in Dhekelia, Cyprus, which will see primary school pupils from Ayios Nikolaos Primary School and Dhekelia Primary School co-locating to the new Queen Berengaria Primary School in Dhekelia. The new school is due to open in January 2023 and will provide excellent facilities for primary education, with up-to-date resources and equipment.  Early Years settings currently continue to be offered in both locations.

The building work continues to progress on schedule, and Community Working Groups are working with both primary schools to support pupils and families with the transition. Children from Ayios Nikolaos and Dhekelia will be involved in helping to choose the new school uniform, as well as a logo and motto for the new two-form entry Queen Berengaria Primary School.
