Do you ever wish you’d said ‘yes’ to an opportunity, or ’no’ to something you didn’t actually want to do? In these four workshops, we’ll explore what assertiveness really is, and what it means to us as individuals, focusing on why it shouldn’t be confused with aggressiveness, and how a lack of assertiveness can really hold us back. We’ll focus on what makes us afraid to take these actions in the first place, and the relationship it has with understanding our own value. We’ll also look at key elements such as communication, body language and finding our voice. Through these workshops we’ll learn some techniques to help build our assertiveness, in the way that’s right for each of us as an individual. A really helpful set of workshops for anyone harbouring any self-doubts.
The workshop is split over four sessions on:
• Thursday 12th May: 10am to 11.30am
• Thursday 19th May: 10am to 11.30am
• Thursday 26th May: 10am to 11.30am
• Thursday 9th June: 10am to 11.30am
“The Thrive workshops looked really, really good – something to help RAF spouses find their own value and self-worth, leading to better employment prospects. I found the whole course really useful and would like to thank the RAF Benevolent Fund for supporting us in this way.” RAF spouse, Thrive Programme attendee
Please apply by Thursday 5th May as places are limited. The workshops are free for spouses/partners of serving RAF and require internet access.
