A brand new online radio station is soon to launch on 28th March and the whole Military community is invited to listen in and be part of the ‘Connect Forces’ programme on Sunday mornings from 10 am.
You are invited to submit stories, messages and song dedications for your connections. You can also nominate your loved ones to receive a call from presenters, Army Veteran Andy Reid MBE, Linda Lusardi or Naval Veteran Mike Osman to feature on the show. Families can have a few family members join the team on the line for a surprise, perhaps they are sharing how great they are at golf and then Grandad joins in to remind them that they’re really not as good as they think!
Mike Osman from the Great British Radio said:
“The Sunday morning shows will be centred around our brilliant Armed Forces and will bridge the distance between those Serving in bases across the world and their loved ones at home. No matter where you are, we want to bring you closer.”

If you would like to take part then email your nomination or stories, messages and song dedications to [email protected] with Connect Forces in the subject line. The team is ready to record now so the sooner you get your emails in, the quicker they can start connecting!
If you are Serving, please ensure you obtain the correct permissions from your Chain of Command. If your nomination is successful then the GBR team will talk you through how best to keep this a surprise but still arrange necessary permissions etc.
