Business Start-up courses: Unsung Hero and X-Forces Enterprise
As part of our Employment and Training month, we share two organisations who offer free training and mentor support for military families, or those transitioning out of the Armed Forces. Learn the dos and don’ts in your journey to becoming self-employed or starting up your own business and take yourself forward in an amazing ongoing network of support.
Anyone new to the free Unsung Hero Business Start-Up courses can join an introductory session through a Business Start-Up Webinar. You can also access business advice if you are looking to start up your business prior to cohorts starting up in August.
For existing members of the SUG community the following support is available:
- Weekly cuppa and chat – an informal networking group every Friday morning
- Fortnightly group mentoring – business networking, question and answer session and working through any problems
- Extra mentoring available to all SUH delegates to help through this difficult time over the phone or through an online video chat
- Supportive and informative posts on the network’s closed group on social media to help navigate through the latest government announcements and updates.
Helping you to be the best in business, X-Forces offers a range of courses designed to support different cohorts within the military community considering self-employment or business ownership. So if you are a Service leaver, a Reservist, spouse or family member, veterans or cadet, the team at X-Forces Enterprise can help you.
Due the ongoing situation with COVID-19, all Networking events and Training Workshops have moved online, to be delivered in a virtual space. These will have the same high level of interactivity and engagement and can all be done from the comfort of your home. These events do have very limited places, so please register your interest as soon as possible.
You can explore and sign up to the workshops and masterclasses available online or email the team at [email protected].
