Emergency funding available for frontline Armed Forces charities

The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust (the Trust) is to manage £6 million of funding for Armed Forces charities and Community Interest Companies (CICs), as announced by the Government on 12 May 2020.

Grants of up to £60,000 are available for charities and CICs delivering services to veterans, Armed Forces families and others from the Armed Forces community. In exceptional circumstances, grants of up to £125,000 or more are available.

Applications are open

The Trust is asking those who wish to apply to submit their applications no later than 29 May 2020, or earlier if they can. Decisions will be made in June by a panel of representatives from the MOD, Cabinet Office and Cobseo.

  • Support to the elderly (including care homes)
  • Mental and physical health
  • Welfare
  • Domestic violence
  • Housing
  • Criminal Justice System
  • Service families (including childcare)
  • Bereavement
  • Employment

Help to keep valuable services up and running

Chief Executive for the Trust, Melloney Poole, said: “This funding programme will offer help to organisations that need additional resources to help them keep well-used and valuable services up and running for those who need them; particularly if there has been an increase in the support that you are having to give due to Covid-19.”
