The RAF Families Federation is promoting all things related to employment and training for the RAF Family, starting today (1st June). We will post a news story each weekday during June aimed at supporting our spouses and partners of Service personnel, older sons and daughters as well as those who are in the process of transitioning out of the RAF.

Posts for the month include:

  • Forces Families Jobs and the many different aspects of support available
  • National Volunteers’ Week
  • Partner Employment Useful Resources
  • Intro to the MilSpo Business Network
  • Homeworking tips by the Military Coworking Hub Network
  • Business Start-up free training
  • Social media training
  • Online learning – tips on how to stay on top of your course

Seeking help or advice

Any issues or concerns that you approach us with will come in confidentially to the Evidence Team who pick up all initial enquiries through the Federation’s online form. From there the team will either help you directly or signpost you to the best experts elsewhere within the Federation or to one of our many external specialists based in other military organisations who are best placed to help you.

Ken Wood (pictured above) is one of the team members who will pick up your query if you approach us. He’s recently helped a partner of a Serving member of the RAF who had returned from an overseas posting and was having problems claiming her Jobseekers Allowance (JSA). You can read the full article on Jobseekers Allowance (pg 30) in the current (Summer) edition of Envoy.
