RAF Benevolent Fund reaches out to communicate with RAF Family in a new way

The RAF Benevolent Fund has launched a new way to communicate with its beneficiaries with a live web chat facility.

The web chat can be accessed via the Fund’s website, and is available for any member of the RAF Family to use for welfare-related enquiries, serving personnel, veterans, their families and the agencies which work to support them via the Fund.

In its first two weeks the chat has helped 58 individuals with enquiries, coming from a mix of age groups and both serving and veteran beneficiaries.

General Welfare Executive Sasha Bossuot manages the chat service within the Fund’s welfare department. She said:

“The RAF Benevolent Fund has supported the RAF Family for 100 years, and this is just one more way we can ensure the veteran and serving community can find out about our services. If you know someone in need, or you think we may be able to help you, please get in touch.”

This year marks the centenary of the RAF Benevolent Fund and to mark the milestone, the Fund is launching a campaign to double the number of people we help, from 50,000 to 100,000.

The chat operates from 9.30am to 4.30pm on weekdays.
