RAF Benevolent Fund sends Christmas cheer to its beneficiaries

Thousands of Christmas cards have been sent out to wish RAF Benevolent Fund beneficiaries a very Merry Christmas.

Staff got together on Friday to send out around 2,000 Christmas cards to RAF veterans and/or their family members. All who received a card were of pensionable age, many of whom live on their own and would receive few Christmas wishes.

Lauren Cooper, RAF Benevolent Fund Welfare Projects Coordinator, said:

“The RAF Benevolent Fund is a friend for life for anyone who has served in the RAF or whose partner or spouse has, and that includes during Christmas time.

“It saddens me to think there are members of the RAF Family who will spend the festive season alone so I hope these cards bring some joy for them and let them know we are thinking of them.”

If you’re part of the RAF Family and are struggling with your mental health over the Christmas holidays, there is support available, on the RAF Benevolent Fund’s website.
