Historian and TV presenter Dan Snow will host the RAF Benevolent Fund’s Big Battle of Britain Virtual Quiz on July 11.

Dan will be joined by star of stage and screen Sue Holderness (pictured) to test participants’ knowledge of all things RAF, Second World War and Battle of Britain. Dan and Sue will be joined by more guests on the night.

Dan said:

“I have heard first-hand the difference the RAF Benevolent Fund makes to the lives of those who have served their country and fallen on hard times. Stretching back to the Second World War generation to today, the Fund provides a safety net for all.

“I’m excited to be hosting a Battle of Britain quiz in tribute to those who took part in this immense battle in the skies above us 80 years ago, raising funds to support the work of this important charity.”

The quiz, which starts at 8pm is free to enter and will be hosted online. As well as their hosting duties, Dan and Sue will be available to answer questions on the night. To sign up go to the Fund’s website rafbf.org

Sue added: “I am incredibly proud of my links to the Battle of Britain, to be able to say my family contributed to the success of this vital battle during the Second World War. It is important to pay tribute to all who bravely served their country and the Fund does just that by ensuring they are there during their toughest times.

“I’m delighted to take part in this Battle of Britain quiz and make some contribution to the work of the Fund and to the memory of all those brave men and women.”
