Survey for schools who have Service children on roll in England.

Guidance for recipients of Continuity of Education Allowance (CEA) in response to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Service families are encouraged to spread word to their schools to complete an online ‘Voice of Schools’ survey before they break up for the summer holidays. They could win £500 worth of fiction books too for their school!

This will enable the Service Children in State Schools (SCISS) network to drive forward support to schools that have Service children on roll in England.

The RAF Families Federation Policy Advisor for Education, Louise Briggs (pictured), sits on the Service Children in State Schools (SCISS), advocating for RAF families and their children and young people. A letter has been sent to schools but any help families can give in prompting the survey to be completed before schools break up in the next few days will be very welcome.

Louise said:

“This is the first time a survey of this size, to all schools in England with a Service child on their roll, has been undertaken. It could provide invaluable data and evidence, allowing SCISS to represent schools that often do so much to support Service children. It would be great if you could bring this to your school’s attention to ensure we get as many responses as possible.  If you work in a school please share with your networks.”
