Lincolnshire County Council recently re-signed the AF Covenant in a ceremony at Cranwell (20th September) to which the RAF Families Federation was invited.
The event was hosted by Air Commodore Peter Squires and also in attendance was Lieutenant-Colonel Forsyth and Commander R Pethybridge representing the Army and Royal Navy.
Cllr Sue Woolley, Executive Councillor for Community Engagement at Lincolnshire County Council, said:
"As Co-Chair of the Partnership Board with Air Commodore Peter Squires, I am extremely proud that in this county we have an active armed forces community, engaged in all aspects of Lincolnshire life. It is important that we recognise the sacrifices they have made and make sure they are not disadvantaged because of their service. In addition, by signing the Armed Forces Covenant, the council shows its commitment to providing support, help and guidance wherever we can."
Lincolnshire County Council first signed the Covenant in 2012 and wanted to re-state the commitment to continue to build upon the good work already achieved between all parties.
