RAF personnel serving away from their families this Christmas will receive gift hampers from a national military charity.
The Royal Air Forces Association, the charity that supports the wellbeing of RAF veterans, serving personnel and their dependants, is sending the boxes to 484 personnel across the UK to help combat loneliness and spread festive cheer.
Goodies inside include gingerbread santas, candy canes, luxury jams, bath ducks and fighter jet Christmas decorations.
Rory O’Connor, Director of Welfare and Policy for the RAF Association, said:
“We are working with RAF stations to let service personnel on operational duty in the UK at Christmas know that they’re not forgotten.
“We have also sent a number of boxes to British personnel in the USA to let them know they are in our thoughts.” For more information about the RAF Association please visit rafa.org.uk
