Reporting to the Hotel Manager, our Casual Care Team Leaders at Richard Peck House in Lytham St Annes, provide a clear lead to the staff team for the period of a shift ensuring the highest possible standards are met. Paying particular attention to the policies and procedures set by the Royal Air Forces Association (in line with the Care Quality Commission regulation) which provide for a happy, safe, secure and beneficial respite break for guests.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or an equivalent suitable qualification), have the ability to communicate clearly and sensitively with guests, staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will be resourceful, self-motivated and have the experience of supporting and directing others in their work.

LEGACY AND REMEMBRANCE MANAGER (MATERNITY COVER UP TO 12 MONTHS)

We are looking for a Legacy and Remembrance Manager to provide Maternity Cover for up to 12 months, to plan, manage and implement legacy marketing and In Memoriam activity, to recruit and retain legacy pledgers and In Memoriam supporters and maximise future income from this source of funding. The Legacy & Remembrance Manager will also develop new products associated with legacies and remembrance.

The ideal candidate will have a CIM Diploma or previous equivalent experience, at least three years of managing a legacy marketing programme, experience of planning and executing a Legacy and Remembrance strategy delivering results in the region of c£5m. In addition to this, the ideal candidate will also have good oral and written communication skills and be able to deal appropriately and sensitively with distressed and upset people.

PROPERTY MANAGER

We are looking for a Property Manager to be responsible for Association owned properties and properties where the Association is the appointed property Trustee. The Property Manager will ensure that all properties have a strategic plan, which describes current and potential future use, current condition and recommended maintenance. They will also ensure, for all properties, that a detailed future maintenance plan is in place, fully costed with timescales and all properties are compliant with current legislation including Health & Safety, or that action plans are in place to drive towards compliance where this is considered to be lacking.

The ideal candidate will be a professionally qualified chartered surveyor (RICS) with at least 2 years post qualification experience. They will have the knowledge and experience of preparing property condition survey reports and management reports, arranging and managing statutory assessments, assisting with the planning and execution of statutory and internal audit assignments and reporting thereof to key stakeholders.

DEPUTY AREA WELFARE MANAGER

Fixed Term up to 31st December 2017

Salary: £9.79- £10.30 per hour

Hours of work: 13 hours a week

Location: Exeter

The Royal Air Forces Association (or RAF Association) is a membership organisation and registered charity that provides welfare support to the RAF family.

Across the UK in 2016 the Association carried out 13,800 home visits, helped tell thousands of bedtime stories to children whose parents were away on operations, and gave tailored holidays to 2,500 RAF veterans, widows and family at our Wings Break hotels. Our support ranges from simply providing conversation and friendship to preparing and submitting application forms for financial assistance.

We are looking to appoint an additional Deputy Area Welfare Manager to provide support to the Area Welfare Manager (AWM) covering the South West of England and to deputise in their absence. The role is office based in Exeter with occasional requirement to visit beneficiaries or caseworkers within the area.

The Deputy Area Welfare Manager will carry a delegated welfare caseload of complex cases and undertake specific administrative duties within the Area Welfare Department. They will assist the AWM in supporting Area welfare volunteers, caseworkers and branches in their welfare casework. They will foster and develop good working relationships with other charities and statutory services in the welfare sector.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to communicate clearly and sensitively with clients and volunteers. They will have a strong administrative background with good attention to detail and methodical, organised working practices. They will also have knowledge of welfare services and systems and be competent in using I.T, specifically Word, Outlook, Excel and Internet. In addition to this, a driving licence and access to own vehicle is required for this post. A Disclosure & Barring Service check is also a requirement for this post.
