The Behavioural Insights Team are looking to speak to families of serving personnel who are planning on leaving the service in the next year or two, or veteran families who have the armed forces in the last 5 years. You’ll be thanked by giving you a £30 voucher for a supermarket or high street shop of your choice.
RAF FF Transition Liaison Manager, Louise Briggs said:
“Linked to the work already carried out by the Families Federations on Families’ Transitions, this further study is looking for military families due to transition within the next year or two to explore elements in more detail. Ultimately this should contribute to a better transition for all our people.”
If you are interested in taking part, please read on…
What is the research about?
The purpose of this research is to better our understanding of how families experience transition out of the armed services. This will explore any obstacles they face, how they access support and any recommendations they may have.
What is being asked of me?
We would like to interview you for 40 minutes, and can offer you a £30 voucher for a supermarket or high street shop of your choice. This can be over the phone or in person, whichever you prefer at a time that suits you. This will be audio-recorded. After transcribing and anonymising the data, removing all identifiable information, we will destroy the original recording within 3 months of the project completing. You can request to see the anonymised interview transcript if you wish.
Who is conducting the research?
This research is being conducted by the Behavioural Insights Team, an independent research organisation. This research is funded by Forces in Mind Trust. The researchers who will conducted the interviews are enhanced DBS checked.
What will you do with my data?
All participation will be anonymous and you will be free to withdraw at any point you wish. Your data will not be shared with anyone outside the research team. Your participation in this research will not be linked in any way to your job, and will not be made known to anyone in the armed services.
How do I take part?
Please email [email protected] or [email protected] or text Jessica 07917868454.
We will then send your further information and a consent form to sign.
