If 2020 brings with it time to consider your future or if you are due to retire from the RAF, the Forces Pension Society can help you.
Membership of the Forces Pension Society is open to all members of the Armed Forces, serving or retired, and their spouses or partners, parents, children and stepchildren. It provides independent, objective help and information about the four Armed Forces Pension Schemes that are currently in operation. The team can assist you through the complexities with information about when to leave (and when not to). It also includes advice on redundancy, pension troughs and how to deal with them, the impact of AFPS15, how you can top up your pension and much more.
Briefings
There are also Resettlement Briefings and a Roadshow Programme that’s shared across many different locations, which you can attend. The latter of which is open to family members too.
Membership
As from 1 Jan 2020, membership for the Forces Pension Society will be £40 per year. This will then give you access to the Pension Advisory Service to help you know what you and your family can expect from your Armed Forces Pension, whether you’re serving or retired. There are also other services which you can tap into as well:
