SFA safety notice from the DIO – a reminder to check window restrictors in SFA.
The safety of families living in SFA is a top priority for the DIO. The warmer weather means more windows will be open in your SFA, and occupants are reminded to check all window safety catches/restrictors are working correctly.
How to check window restrictors for faults
If restrictors are not working or windows can be opened more than 100mm when restrictors are engaged, then please report the fault to the Amey help desk immediately on 0800 707 600 to ensure a repair is carried out.
Please note: Window restrictors MUST NOT be disengaged for any reason where children or vulnerable members of your household are at risk from falling.
